'70 El Camino SS

Part American Muscle, part Donk, part desert Pre-Runner? If this isn’t considered a “one-of-a-kind” build, we don’t know what is!

You might have noticed the particularly large King Off-Rad Racing Shocks logo. That’s because this wild 1970 El Camino SS came right from the mind of Brett, one of the King Shock brothers himself—as did the bones of the build. Brett began the El Camino build in the back fabrication room in their massive Garden Grove, CA facility. They took a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis and cut away almost everything but the basic frame rails and body mounting locations. Then they proceeded to fabricate a one-off long travel suspension with 16-inches of travel front and over 20-inches in the rear. They also beefed it up substantially so the chassis could actually handle some off road abuse.

Once the guys at King Shocks worked their suspension magic, they decided to send it our way to swap the body onto the new chassis, fabricate custom wide body fenders, complete all the paint and bodywork, make a custom interior, wire the car, and whatever else is needed to finish the build.

This is sure to be a wild one, so check back regularly for updated build photos and YouTube videos!
